For McCain, it was a very good speech. By that I mean, he’s not that good in front of a telemprompter. On Twitter we noted that we were longing for a Palin speech but McCain did as well as could be expected.
He made a few key points…choice, taxes, the obligatory swipes at the failures of the Nobama platform. I thought hearing about his POW experiences from him was good. Too many of us have just read about that terrible period in his life.
(As an aside, the narrative about his involvement in the rescue of pilots on the USS Forrestal clusterfuck was educational for me. I didn’t know he was on the carrier at that time.)
The finish came from the heart and defined McCain. I agree with that part of the speech completely. The fight is on to keep the libtards out of office and hopefully, to vote them out as quickly as possible.
