The Republo-Whores who voted for this are (as usual) kissing the asses of the LEO’s and firemen.

The abuses these guys (particularly firemen) have perpetrated on the taxpayers are astounding. You know, for example, that the Union REQUIRES an engine company be sent on ambulance calls, even if there is NO FIRE–not even smoke…

The excuse is that the parameds might need some extra beef to haul Joe Doakes’ body out of the place.

That’s what the cops are for…except that the FFU wants those extra jobs and to get them, they require beefing up the number of “calls”…

The LEO’a and FFU’s pull out the “heroes” card and generally people fall all over themselves to kiss their rings.

Aside from the FDNY in 9/11, how many FFU members have been KIA in the last 10 years? Or LEO’s?

Guys, you signed up for those jobs, and risk is part of it. You get paid very well for taking those risks, and you piss all over the volunteer FD’s–who do NOT get the same risk-premium you do.

In fact, the Fire Chiefs’ Ass’n writes the rules for building fire-safety and SELLS THE RULEBOOKS to finance their interests…

And of course, the rules tend to favor full-time fire departments.
