I’m Not Going to be PC

Well, I see that the RNC, the press, McCain and everyone is not going to use the full name of Barack Hussein Obama.

My question is: Why the hell not? It’s his given name.

Maybe the capitulating asshats in the RNC and the McCain campaign would be happier if I used the name from the Los Angeles Times….

Barack the Magic Negro.

In any event, I plan to use his full name in any future posts.

No, I don’t care what YOU think (unless you agree with me, of course).

A Team of Idiots

The boys over at Power Line Blog point out some interesting things about Obama’s foreign policy advisers. It looks like the appeasement movement is alive and well in the Obama camp.

In addition to Zbigniew Brzezinski (a demonstrated failure under Carter) Obama has also tapped a certain Susan Rice, who played a major role in the decision to refuse Sudan’s offer to turn over Bin-Laden during the Clinton Presidency.

If Obama is the one calling for change and a new way of doing things in Washington, why is he using the same failed party hacks on what is arguably his most important advisory committee?

This Could Be Interesting

Looks like Team Clinton isn’t in the mood to respect the will of the voters. Check this out over at Politico.

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign intends to go after delegates whom Barack Obama has already won in the caucuses and primaries if she needs them to win the nomination.

This strategy was confirmed to me by a high-ranking Clinton official on Monday. And I am not talking about superdelegates, those 795 party big shots who are not pledged to anybody. I am talking about getting pledged delegates to switch sides.

What? Isn’t that impossible? A pledged delegate is pledged to a particular candidate and cannot switch, right?

Like I said, this could be interesting.

Two Messages

The Wall Street Journal is carrying two large op-ed pieces; one written by the Hildebeast and the other by advisors to Obamarama.

A few comments. The message in the Obama piece is just about the same as all of his campaign speeches. Change, future, no plan or details on how all these great ideas are going to be implemented or paid for. Frankly, this is the hyperbole I’ve come to expect from the left….”vote for me!!! I have great ideas!!! You’ll have to elect me to see what they are.”

From Hillary…again the same stuff from her speeches. Grand ideas financed by the government with no mention of how she plans to pay for all this fairy godmother-like largesse. Well, we all know how she’s going to pay for it…..if you make more than $20,000/year, she’s going to take all of it in taxes.

One other thing that’s common to both pieces is that they blame it all on Bush. (Obama in the third paragraph, Hillary in the sixth). Someone ought to tell them Bush isn’t up for re-election.

What’s the Over/Under on How Long This Will Last

Looks like The Hildebeast and Obamarama are seeking a truce.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y. ) tried Monday night to defuse a conflagration over race sparked by remarks she made about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King last week.

The comment prompted an angry back and forth between people in her camp and those aligned with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), her leading opponent for their party’s presidential nomination.

Clinton issued an unusual statement calling for “common ground” after the dispute simmered for days.

“We differ on a lot of things. And it is critical to have the right kind of discussion on where we stand. But when it comes to civil rights and our commitment to diversity, when it comes to our heroes — President John F. Kennedy and Dr. King — Sen. Obama and I are on the same side,” she said in a statement released Monday night.

Less formally and shortly before, Obama also asked supporters not to further stoke the feud.

The dispute has dragged in civil rights leaders in South Carolina, where Democrats hold their primary a week from Saturday. [...]

I predict this “truce” will last about a month. Especially if Obamarama beats Hillary in the upcoming primaries. This could be fun to watch.

They’re Not Cheap, But They’re Easy

Remember all the fanfare about the Dems “pay as you go” or “paygo”? Well, it was all a big farce. Why? Rich Dems bought off the libtards in Congress. As is per their wont, the Dems also lied from the very beginning about fiscal discipline.

Democrats are committed to ending years of irresponsible budget policies that have produced historic deficits. Instead of compiling trillions of dollars of debt onto our children and grandchildren, we will restore pay-as-you-go budget discipline.”–Speaker Nancy Pelosi, December 12, 2006

Well, as Emily Litella, the half-witted Gilda Radner character on Saturday Night Live, would have put it: “Never mind.” Last week Congressional Democrats formally renounced their ballyhooed budget pledge to offset any new tax cuts with other tax increases or spending cuts. We’re delighted to see this false promise go, but there’s a larger lesson in this failure for the tax and spending battles of 2008.

Senate Democrats gave up on “paygo,” as it’s called, when they realized they lacked the votes to offset the $50.6 billion cost of protecting more than 20 million middle-class taxpayers from getting whacked by the Alternative Minimum Tax this year. They’ve spent the year floating all kinds of tax increases to make up the difference. But in the end they passed an AMT relief bill without a penny to pay for it. Paygo is now pay gone”. [...]

This little-noticed event didn’t miss the gutless democratic candidates for President when the bill on paygo came to a vote.

“In any case, they’ll have to reckon with New York Democrat Chuck Schumer, who helped doom paygo in the Senate. Mr. Schumer runs the Senate Democratic campaign committee, and he’s raised boatloads of cash from hedge funds and private equity while winking that he can block the House’s tax increase on their “carried interest.” Let’s see: Paygo, or more cash to elect more Democrats. Which do you think wins?

The larger relevance of this episode concerns the 2008 campaign. Hillary Clinton in particular has made paygo a major campaign theme because it makes her sound like a fiscal conservative while helping to justify tax increases. But, lo, guess who was missing on Thursday when the Senate voted 88-5 to ignore paygo on the AMT? None other than the candidate herself, along with Chris Dodd, Joe Biden and Barack Obama. To quote another Saturday Night Live character, “How convenient.”

Obama Plane Lands at Wrong Airport

MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) - When Democrat Barack Obama’s charter plane touched down Tuesday night, aides were surprised a car wasn’t waiting to rush him to that night’s campaign events.

Someone stepped onto the tarmac and quickly realized why: They had landed at the wrong airport.

Instead of going to Cedar Rapids, the plane had touched down about 100 miles to the west in Des Moines.

Spokesman Tommy Vietor said Wednesday that the mistake on the flight from Chicago made Obama about an hour late for a rally at a community college. While waiting, the crowd took to dancing and chanting.

The presidential candidate apologized for the delay, simply explaining there had been a mix-up on the way from Chicago.

Note to pilots…CHARTS!! Note to Obama’s handlers….TAKE A GEOGRAPHY CLASS!!!

Time for the GOP to Grow a Pair

Rush had some good advice for the GOP in light of Move.On’s disgusting ad in The New York Times.

In a just political environment, these hearings taking place in the House right now with General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker would be enough to nullify any future electoral victory on the part of Democrats. What has happened up there today, ladies and gentlemen, so far is a complete disgrace and a total attitude, assaulting and impugning the integrity and character of a four-star general sitting in full dress uniform by telling him before he’s even testified that his testimony is a lie. The Republicans need to get a pair, stop being so docile and referring to these people as their friends and finally realize that it’s time to wipe them out politically before you get wiped out by them yourself.
