The Big Pilot and I returned this morning after our little flying adventure to Tunica. We didn’ t do a hell of a lot other than wish it was warmer for our terrible golf games We stayed at Binion’s which was very nice.
The poker tables seemed to disdain the visits of two Yankees to Dixie. Just one of those things that left us muttering something about re-enacting Sherman’s March from the casino to the river. Happily, the Blackjack tables let us get back to (almost) even for the trip.
The Steakhouse was excellent as always and so was the Cajun place. There isn’t a hell of a lot to do in Tunica other than gamblling so I got caught up on some reading and we also took BP1 (a.k.a. The New Toy) up for a trip to Savannah, GA just to see the place. A nice city with a lot of U.S. History.
We didn’t endear ourselves to anyone by asking if this (whatever place we were in) was a building that was re-built after Sherman burned it down.
So, the tables weren’t too kind but it was a good time and a chance to get a few hours in “Big Pilot 1″. I really should get a camera…we flew down the Mississippi River on a “clear and a million” day. Lotsa barge traffic on that river. Maybe next time.
